If you have an old website or e-commerce site that you need to update into a clean, modern, responsive property that supports your business, there’s a good chance I can help you. Modersohn Web Services is not a large company with thousands, or even hundreds, of clients. In fact, my client list is very small on purpose. I want you to have a fantastic experience full of individual support and the only way I can do that is if I take the time to get to know you, your business, and your needs for your website and your digital marketing goals.
This website is a place where you can get to know me a little bit and decide if my skill set would be helpful. If you think we’d make a good team, please apply to work with me! I look forward to helping you reach your goals and making your aspirations and ideas a reality.

- My Philosophy
A modern and responsive website is an absolute business necessity today. I can help you upgrade your current site, rebuild it from scratch, or design your first website. From single page business pages to full client portals and everything in between, I can help you find the solution that will be a true asset to your company, rather than a burden!
Case Study: Non-E-Commerce Website
We're pretty used to websites needing to have a cart system, but not all businesses need that function. One such site that I have worked with since 2010 is the site for the Kinnelon Extended Day Program in Kinnelon, NJ. KED is a program designed to provide care for the children attending Kinnelon Public Schools and they have three distinct programs that this website helps define and raise awareness about. Since registration for this program is handled on paper still, there is no cart system required.
Please feel free to visit the KED website to get a feel for how a website without e-commerce can operate.
If you sell anything anywhere, you need an e-commerce platform that can not only keep up with modern consumers but also exceed their expectations and deliver a fantastic user experience from start to finish and beyond. I can help you build everything from an online catalog to a membership site and everything in between. Even if you aren't sure what solution will work best for your goals, I can help you navigate the options and make a decision to move forward with.
Case Study: Virginia Soaps & Scents.
Virginia Soaps & Scents is a family owned company that makes natural, organic soaps that smell fantastic! They have their soap studio at home where they produce every product and store their stock.
I helped them transition from an old website that did not have a cart system, to a new, responsive site that is secure, mobile ready, clean and modern, and has a robust cart system that has improved both the customer experience and their own as the fulfill orders with ease.
Please feel free to visit them to get an idea of how I build e-commerce sites and consider ordering some fantastic soap while you're there!
Once you have a great website for customers to use, it's time to focus on how to get visitors to come to your site! Digital marketing is a very big topic covering social media, SEO, digital advertising, email lists, etc. I can help you design a digital marketing strategy that will reach your current customers, find new customers, improve your products, and leave you with a stronger, healthier business. I can either help you design a plan for you to implement, or we can work together to implement the plan, if you do not have staff to help you.
Since 2014, I have worked with Home Educators Association of Virginia as their Social Media Manager. Since then, I have also helped them with blog content, as well as building a more robust plan for their email list, both for growth and retention. This is a non-profit organization and their primary goals include raising awareness, supporting current homeschoolers in their state, and keeping an eye on legislation. Every June they host the second largest homeschool convention in the US and I help market that as well.
Take a look at their website.
I do my best to be a full-service shop and while I'm not actually Wonder Woman and I can't do everything, I can sure do a lot!
Here is a list of things I do for clients that might be of use to you.
- Logo design
- Product photos
- Graphic design
- Website design & coding
- Website maintenance
- eCommerce Solutions
- Digital and Social Marketing
- Affiliate Program Setup / Administration
- Email Marketing / Campaigns
- Online Course Delivery / Creation / Administration
- Amazon Product Listing
And lots more. If you can think of it for your website, it's likely I can either do it with/for you or learn how to.
If we're going to work together, I think it's only fair that you have a clear idea of how I view my role in your business.
As your "web master" I would become a pretty important person in your company structure. It can be scary choosing someone to be in charge of your online store-front, your public face. As you make this decision, I want you to know that I am just as careful as you are about who I work with. It is vital to me that we each have the same goals and that we are both excited about the products, services, and information you want to present through your website.
You should know that I tend to work myself out of a job on web site projects! I'm willing to do all aspects of your web maintenance and support, but if you want to take that over, I'm also very willing to teach you what you need to know in order to successfully run your whole operation without me. Some clients choose that route, and that's certainly fine with me!
For a select few clients, I do also handle monthly projects that are on-going. Some companies keep me on a monthly stipend to maintain their website and keep it secure. Others also have me doing email marketing and social media posts. Still others have asked me to help them with one-time projects, like a product launch or getting an affiliate program up and running. Whatever you need, if we are working together, I am here for you whenever you need me to be.
One last thing you should know about me: I am a wife and mother first. If this is a concern for you, all I can say is that I have never let a client down by not being available for emergencies. It is my job to jump to the rescue when things go awry (because - technology doesn't always cooperate!) but there are times where non-emergencies may take 24 hours for me to get to. If you are comfortable with that, there's a good chance our working relationship will be fantastic. ♥

Interested in working together?
I like to make sure I can help you before we begin. So after signing up below, you'll be taken to a questionnaire where you'll be able to share more with me about your current web properties and what you're hoping to achieve. I don't ever want you to pay for services you don't want or need, or for anything that won't actually help you.
Let's get started!
Here's what others have to say about working with me...
Owner, KJS Drafting
I was always telling customers that a website update was in progress even though we didn't have anything more than a wish to get this done. In a matter of a few days, we went from giving excuses to hearing praises!
Supervisor, KASE Program
I love that she's either willing to teach you how to do it, or just save you the time and effort and do it for you. She put a lot of research into learning the voice and feel of our company so that she could effectively handle our digital marketing.
Owner of an undisclosed website
(Client requested his name/company not be shared)
Both our traffic and sales immediately improved and the support we're still getting from Sandra continues to impress us. I wasn't sure what she'd do for us after the website was up, but she continues to improve the site and educate us as we go.
